Nov 13, 2009 - This is retarded. Teach a robot to walk, turn, and kick, then add a useless app on top to convert gestures into those commands. Movement isn't 1:1 therefore this is a huge gimmick.

Nov 14, 2009 - They should port this to Google's Android, if only so that you can control your "droid" with Android. Or would that get kinda confusing?

Nov 17, 2009 - Should change the info to say... "We propose a gimmicky operating method..." I was all for the fun of this, until I actually saw you toss the PS control aside saying it was, "too complicated to understand". Not to mention the ergonomics of using an iphone, cant be good for prolonged usages. And lets be honest, when we're playing with our bipedal robots, prolonged usage is* to be expected.

Dec 1, 2009 - Nice interface! This interface looks like an extended version of "FWIP". The basic implementation was published in 2008 (Kim et al. "Finger Walking in Place (FWIP): A Traveling Technique in Virtual Environments. In Proc. of the 9th international Symposium on Smart Graphics '08). Then its iPhone/iPod Touch version was published in March'09 (Kim et al. "iPhone/iPod Touch as Input Devices for Navigation in Immersive Virtual Environments," IEEE Virtual Reality Conference, pp.261-262, 2009)
