Sep 12, 2009 - Fenriz understands the essential difference between the two 'dark scenes': The Punk/Goth scene and the (extreme) Metalscene. Something media and the many posers they make, have very very much difficulties with. "What difference? They all 're wearing black!"
dadov Says:
Sep 12, 2009 - Probably they weren't accepted in this documentary cause of their extreme thoughts, i donno bout Immortal but Burzum is totaly deleted cause of what Varg did, and what he still does, his nazism etc.

Dec 30, 2009 - Fenriz is right, black metal is just a business nowadays. Metal in general is a business, but for some reason, a lot of the fans think it's amazingly different from the commercial music world. That is not to say that some label owners and cultural producers within the field have admirable intentions, but overall, metal is very corporate now, even on a so called independent level. the metal audience is gullible, yet they treat others like sheep. strange behaviour.
lamentate07 Says:
Dec 30, 2009 - there is an interesting 'tension' occuring in black metal. Sometimes bands claim it's really all about the music, while others claim the music is just one component of the general lifestyle, yet this lifestyle is always vaguely defined and ultimately meaningless. Truth be told, black metal, like most metal, cannot separate itself from the genre's roots in rock theatricality. Because of this, there is always going to a strong 'poser' element to metal, no matter how much bands try to avoid it.
ChristAlmightyAnal Says:
Jan 6, 2010 - I think you have very preconceived ideas about metalheads. Just because black metal has ideals doesn't mean they see the world in terms of black and white as you seem to do. And "metal" is too wide a term to use in the context like you did. You also took Fenriz's statement out of context and didn't offer a single example for any of your arguments. Oh, and you have some really shitty music in your favorites. Have a nice day.
